I finally feel like I am getting to real life. Back to the land of the normal, where the people without the flu live. Pretty darn exciting if you ask me. Which I now realise you didn't, but moving on..
I never thought I would say this but it is so nice to feel myself again and to have the energy to be nice and smiley again.
Human interaction? Totally PSYCHED.
Fresh air? Luxury.
Seeing friends and family? I could jump for joy.
Who knew that being a hermit would be so completely horrendous??
Taking full advantage of this 'back to real life' feeling, me and the family headed to Jamie's Italian restaurant last night and I put myself into a carb food coma.
As the weather was truly 'autumn like' I wore about four layers (including a turbo wooly jumper), busted out the boots, the snood AND a coat...and was still cold..but that's England for you.
Food was gorgeous, company was gorgeous, prosecco was gorgeous.
I chose a rabbit pasta dish, Ben had steak, Mum had a chicken liver pasta dish and Tash had the Lamb.
We waddled out of there to the nearest pub and had a night cap before heading home. Lush evening.
And this is the only picture that was taken of Tash from last night. (And tash, if you are reading this...I cannot be held responsible for putting this up here, you took it yourself. You ass.)
(I still haven't completely regained my 'blog head' yet so apologies for the minimal/poor quality pictures.. I only just remembered to take photos. The flu will do that to any blogger I'm sure...)
Tonight is all about a little down time with my two favourite boys, trying to keep my eyes open after a completely hectic day... I have a feeling that it will be an early one! After some tea, maltesers, and the obligatory Breaking Bad viewings that is!!
